Actor Varun Dhawan attended FILMFARE Glamour & Style Awards 2017 on Friday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Varun stated that he will start shooting for his upcoming film ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made in India’ from February next year.
Varun collaborating with Anushka Sharma for the first time in ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made In India’ which is being produced by Yash Raj Films. Earlier, in press note issued by Yash Raj Films, it stated that shoot of film will begin from January 2018 but throwing light on commencement of film, Varun said, “We will start shooting the film in February next year”
Talking about year 2017 for him as an actor, Varun said, “Year 2017 has been probably one of the best year for me at the box-office because my last films ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ did so well. I have received so much love from the audience and now I feel my responsibility has been increased as an actor towards my audience and obviously, the kind of work I do, I always keep kids in my mind as one my core audience so I try to do films from which they can get entertained after a film releases”
When asked what he wishes for New Year of 2018, Varun said, “I wish for peace in India and in other countries as well. I feel everyone should be safe and the world should be more peaceful”
Varun has recently wrapped up the shoot of Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming film ‘October’, talking about his experience working in ‘October’, Varun said, “It feels amazing. We have wrapped up the film in 38 days and this film is another experience for me. ‘October’ is more than a film to me. I don’t want to say much about it but definitely this film impacted me so much as a human being. I think it definitely changed me as a human being”
“Working with Shoojit da was my dream which now has been fulfilled. After long time, I have done something which is different so let’s see. It is releasing on 13th April next year”
Talking about death threats to Pamdavati’s lead actress Deepika Padukone and opposition to ‘Padmavati’s release, Varun said, “I have said this earlier, I feel protesting peacefully is fine. We are living in a democratic country and everyone should be allowed to voice their opinion and we should respect that but giving death threats is something which should not be allowed in a democracy. I believe in our judiciary and I am sure they will manage it”
Varun’s Upcoming film ‘Sui Dhaaga – Made In India’ is based on government’s Make in India campaign.
It is being directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma and Yash Raj Films.
It is scheduled to release on Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October) 2018.
