Actors Adil Hussain starring “What Will People Say” has been declared as the Norwegian official entry into the Oscar 2019.

The actor confirmed the news on his social media profile. Adil wrote, “Our Film #WhatWillPeopleSay is just declared as the #Norwegian official entry into #Oscars 2019. #Norway @norwayinindia @NorwayUN @Dibang…Biig Congratulations to @iramhaq @mehia @merfilm @EkavaliKhanna all cast and crew”
In August, Adil won the Best Actor award at the Amanda Award or the Norwegian National Awards — the Scandinavian country’s top national film honour and dedicated it to Goalpara in Assam, his hometown.
Directed by Iram Haq, “What Will People Say” is set in Pakistan and Norway and traces how a Pakistani immigrant family deals with its teenage daughter’s affair with a local boy in Norway.
The filmmaker Iram Haq also shared the excitement about Oscar nomination on his social media. He wrote, “Hurray! Our film, what will people say was Norway’s Oscar candidate! I am so happy, proud and grateful @ Norwegian Film Institute”
Next Adil Hussain will be seen in 2.0, which is an upcoming science fiction film written and directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan, and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah.
The film serves as a spiritual successor to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran, and features Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.
