It’s festive time and our favorite Savita Prabhune aka Aai of Pavitra Rishta is sharing with us the recipe of her favorite dish of the season, guess what would that be? Well of course it’s none other than Ukadiche Modak that is offered to Lord Ganesha as a Prasad. This is also one of the favorite ladoo of the Lord Ganesh.
Sounds Yummy, so let’s start with the Recipe!
INGREDIENTS: Rice flour, Grated coconut, (Elaichi) cardamom powder, Jaggery, Oil 1 tsp, Khas khas, Water to mix and Mango flavour powder as per the taste.
Getting the mixture right (Filling):
Mix jaggery as per the taste, elaichi powder, khas khas with the grated coconut and boil it for some time till the mixture melts and mixes evenly. You can even add mango powder, as per the taste and different flavor. With this fillings are ready!
Prepare the covering:
Mix 1 cup of rice flour with 1 cup of water and 1 tsp of oil. Now boil the ready batter for sometime till the batter becomes thick and can be molded in shape.
Finally! Now we are ready with the fillings and the covering, shape the covering and fill the mixture inside it. Keep all the Modaks in the cooker or in a vessel with the lid to steam them. Don’t boil it just give a slight steam and your boiled Modaks are ready.
