Sana Amin Sheikh Discusses Her Role in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story – The crime-drama series ‘Scam 2003: The Telgi Story’ stands out as one of the highly awaited Indian serials this year. Not only does it narrate the gripping tale of the real-life scam artist Abdul Karim Telgi, but it also boasts of a stellar cast and prominent creative minds behind the scenes.
Among the renowned faces, Sana Amin Sheikh, known for her remarkable work as a radio jockey and television actress, has been roped in to bring a crucial character to life.
Speaking about her role, Sana commented, “I take on the role of Nasifa, Telgi’s wife, who played a pivotal role in his life. She unwaveringly supported him during all life’s trials.” She continued, “Diving deep into such a role was an enlightening journey. Portraying someone so intimately connected to a significant scam in India was indeed captivating.”

‘Scam 2003’, directed by the acclaimed Hansal Mehta and assisted by Tushar Hiranandani, introduces Gagan Dev Riar as Abdul Karim Telgi. The series also flaunts a commendable lineup of actors like Bhavana Balsaver, J. D. Chakravarthy, Bharat Dabholkar, and more, each playing significant roles.
Additionally, the show integrates talented actors like Shashank Ketkar, Talat Aziz, and many others in supporting roles. Produced by Applause Entertainment in partnership with StudioNEXT, this drama delves deep into the machinations of Telgi. He executed one of India’s most notorious financial scams, swindling over Rs. 30,000 crore through various fraudulent means. Despite his eventual arrest in 2006 and subsequent 30-year sentence, Telgi’s story met a tragic end in 2017 due to meningitis.
