May 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Professionalism demands a lot from an individual. However it shouldn’t be at the cost of going against nature.
On Monday night, the team of Mrs. and Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale celebrated the launch of their show. Lead actors Divyanka Tripathy and Rajesh Kumar were expectedly the cynosure of all eyes. The duo spoke at length to the scribes. While Divyanka appeared measured, Kumar caught our eye by his constant hopping in between giving bytes. This happened on more than one occasion.
After speaking to one of the publicists, we were told that the actor’s been itching to dance. That’s why he’s jumping. It was quite a strange explanation. Though we didn’t buy it, the energy shown by Kumar on dance floor some what reflected his enthusiasm. One step too many ignited his back pain and the actor called curtains for the night.
We called the actor to find about his health but also asked him why was he consistently hopping during the interview? Kumar stunned us with his reply.
“No, I wasn’t keen to dance. It’s just that I was dying to go to the loo. The interviews just didn’t seem to end,” Kumar said.
Well, if it was so urgent, he surely could have excused himself for a minute.
“That’s true but I wanted to finish all interview at one go. It doesn’t look nice to be breaking mid-way,” pat came the reply.
Bizarre! Is that all, we’d say. Mr. Kumar, we appreciates your professionalism and also your ability to control nature’s ‘flow’.
