November 9, 2010 : Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie starrer “The Tourist” stole all the limelight and was riding high on publicity due to the much hyped intimate scenes between the two. Viewers were waiting with bated breath to catch their favorite stars in a passionate embrace. Unfortunately the story had to be cut short as Johnny Depp’s girlfriend Vanessa Paradis vehemently objected to the passion play between Johnny and Angelina and the scenes finally bore the brunt of the scissors.
As per reports by the Daily Mail in U.K., the shower scene in the movie made Vanessa feel quite jittery and she wanted Johnny to abandon the whole project altogether. Vanessa has two kids from Depp and her insecurities took charge of her. Reports were also doing the rounds that she was the catalyst which made Depp to talk to the producers about editing that particular scene.
In the movie, Angelina plays an Interpol agent and Depp plays a tourist who is all set to seduce her. Depp in a bid to save his relationship told the producers of his movie that he felt that the “shower scene” will label the film as a cheap flick and therefore he wanted the scenes to be deleted. Well, Vanessa’s cause for concern with the script is understandable. With gorgeous Angelina around, all women would like to keep a tab on their men.
