Rebel Wilson’s Stunt Mishap Leads to Facial Injury on ‘Bride Hard’ Set

The film industry can be both glamorous and unpredictable. Rebel Wilson, renowned for her role in Pitch Perfect, recently shed light on a perilous incident during the shoot of her forthcoming movie, ‘Bride Hard’. The unfortunate event left her needing medical attention.

While Rebel is no stranger to Hollywood’s demanding sets, what transpired during her recent shoot was unexpected. The actress sustained facial injuries from a prop gun’s butt during an action sequence. She delved deeper into the incident through an Instagram story. She recounted, “During a night shoot in Savannah, Georgia, after wrapping up numerous intense action sequences, the unexpected occurred. In my final scene, I got smacked in the face.”

Despite the jarring experience, Rebel expressed it was an unintended mishap. In her words, it was a “complete accident”. Fortunately, she’s recovering swiftly. The stitches she had are now dissolved, and she’s on a steady path to full recovery. Expressing gratitude, she mentioned, “The overwhelming support has been heartwarming. I’m healing impressively, and hopefully, I’ll be completely fine soon. Filming action movies is thrilling, yet it holds inherent risks.”

‘Bride Hard’ showcases Rebel in a distinct avatar – a formidable secret agent named Sam. Her mission isn’t just espionage; she also has the peculiar task of being the maid of honour at her childhood friend’s wedding.

Interestingly, ‘Bride Hard’ filming persists, even amidst Hollywood’s SAG-AFTRA strike. As an independent production, it has secured an interim agreement to continue its schedule. The ongoing strike, led by the actors’ organization, stems from concerns over AI’s rise and streaming revenues. The organization, communicating with its members, stated, “The interim agreement supports many artists and crew, ensuring they meet their daily needs. We’ll keep advocating for a deserving deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.”
