Jungkook's 'Seven' reigns over Spotify's Global Chart for four weeks, a groundbreaking achievement for a Korean artist.

The K-pop realm has witnessed yet another remarkable milestone. Jungkook, the prodigious talent from the K-pop world, has once again dazzled the music industry. With his enchanting debut solo single ‘Seven’, featuring the gifted American rapper Latto, he’s carved out an impressive space for himself on Spotify’s Top Global Songs Chart.

The track held the No.1 position for an incredible four weeks in a row, making Jungkook the pioneering Korean artist to achieve this record.

This exhilarating news was brought to the limelight by Big Hit Entertainment, the illustrious South Korean label representing the artist. They took to Weverse, sharing this achievement and expressing their pride in the production of the track.

By August 12, ‘Seven’ had amassed over 35 million streams on Spotify, surging past prominent American artists like Selena Gomez and Demi Levato. The song, which made its debut in July, has since relished a consistent top spot on Spotify’s esteemed global chart. Within this month, Jungkook shattered two commendable records on the platform, securing his position for more than 28 days.

Furthermore, the instrumental rendition of ‘Seven’ clinched the 65th position upon its introduction, swiftly making its way to the Top 30. Meanwhile, two of Jungkook’s other melodic creations, ‘Still With You’ and ‘My You’, earned the 54th and 113th spots during their Spotify debut. Impressively, these numbers have since soared, with the tracks steadily approaching the Top 30 and Top 50.

‘Seven’, an intricate blend of Britpop, Garage pop, and traditional K-pop resonances, has garnered immense admiration across global markets. It experienced a significant surge in streams from countries such as South Korea, Japan, the UK, the US, and many more. Currently, ‘Seven’ proudly sits at the global number two spot for pop singles, with only the pop sensation Taylor Swift edging ahead.
