Shemaroo Entertainment takes immense pleasure in releasing the Home Video of the colour version of B.R. Chopra’s eternal ‘Naya Daur’. The colourisation trend started with ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, the home video of which was also released by Shemaroo Entertainment. Although Naya Daur is already a priceless classic and cannot be rated, this coloured version is absolutely authentic and has got great reviews from most publications.
The release of the coloured version of Naya Daur coincides with the golden jubilee year of the release of the black and white Naya Daur. It has taken two and a half years, 70 people working 8 hours a day and a budget of more than Rs. 30 million to give Naya Daur its sparkling new look. The music of O.P. Nayyar is considered to be one of the greatest assets of the film, apart from the fact that the black and white Naya Daur had won three film fare awards – for the best actor, best music and best story.
The home video of this colourized Naya Daur comes with its set of bonus features. The DVD is a special 2 disc autographed edition containing an exclusive booklet. The booklet is inclusive of interesting trivia, the colourisation process, memories related to Naya Daur, star quotes and much more.
