As the second season of the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ draws to a close, anticipation continues to escalate over who will walk away with the coveted trophy. The ongoing competition features contestants Pooja Bhatt, Avinash Sachdev, Jad Hadid, Manisha Rani, Jiya Shankar, Abhishek Malhan, Elvish Yadav, and Bebika Dhurve, each one battling it out for the ultimate victory.
In this high-stakes environment, it’s not just the contestants who are invested in the outcome. Their family members, friends, and a legion of fans are lending their unwavering support from the sidelines. Among them, actor Alia Bhatt has been publicly cheering on her sister Pooja Bhatt.
On a recent Thursday, Alia made an appearance at a successful press conference in Mumbai. The event celebrated the triumphant release of her latest film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘. As she was leaving the venue post the conference, she found herself surrounded by photographers eager to capture a moment with the star.
One of the photographers threw a question at her about Pooja’s participation in the Bigg Boss house. Without hesitation, Alia replied, expressing her affection and support for her sister. She said, “Woh waha hai, wohi mere liye jeete (She’s there, that is victory for me). I love her.”
In another development, the contestants had a surprise visitor. Pooja’s father, the renowned director Mahesh Bhatt, stepped into the Bigg Boss house and interacted with the contestants. During his visit, he narrated several interesting stories from his life and opened up about Pooja’s significant contribution to their family during challenging times.
He elaborated on how Pooja, during his struggling phase, shouldered the responsibility of the family. She bravely ventured into the modelling industry, auditioning for numerous advertisements, and became the backbone of the family during a difficult period.
Pooja is Mahesh’s first-born with his first wife, Kiran Bhatt, also known as Lorraine Bright. The couple, who married in 1970, also have a son named Rahul. Mahesh later married Soni Razdan in 1986 and together they have two daughters – Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.
