April 27, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): If Cricket is the biggest religion in our country, then this Sunday should count as the biggest religious festival, as all eyes will be on the Final Match of the DLF IPL 3, and all cricket ‘devotees’ will be praying, in some cases literally, for their favourite team.

As the nation counts down to the final face-off between this year’s contenders for the IPL title, the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings, we at TellyCafe spoke to some of TV’s ardent cricket fans about which team they will be rooting for in Sunday’s final showdown. No points for guessing who’s the favourite here in Aamchi Mumbai. Here’s what some of your favourite stars have to say about their favourite star:

Sharad Kelkar: My favorite team would be the Mumbai Indians, of course, and my all time favourite is the Guru of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, with out a doubt. I would like to wish him and the entire team all the very best. I’m totally psyched that Sachin has promised to play in the 2015 World Cup. So, hope he fulfills that promise and I would love to see him win it all!

Disha Wakani: Well, my favourite team is Mumbai Indians and my most, most, most, favorite player is Mr. Tendulkar. I really wish the whole team all the best and apart from wishing them, I want to say that please, please, don’t play the game in tension, just enjoy it… After all, it’s a game and not a World War. Oh, and one more important thing – play safe!

Manish Raisinghania: No two ways about it, it’s that simple… my favorite player is Sachin Tendulkar, of course! I wish the team a great game and hope the match proves to be full of action and excitement… Come on Mumbai, you can do it!!

Ashita Dhawan: Ever-shine Sachin is my favorite player. After all, how can we forget our Little Master and can say anyone else’s name?? I will just say, Go Mumbai Go, win the trophy this time!! All the Mumbai Indians are rooting for you.

Yash Pandit: I am Sachin’s biggest fan… seriously…. and I can prove to him if I ever get the chance to meet him. I know Mumbai is gonna win for sure this season!
