November 25, 2010 : This was probably the sale of the year for French designer Christian Louboutin. According to reports in the media, actress Blake Lively recently paid a visit to his New York store and walked out with 40 pairs of shoes! Though this may sound a tad unbelievable, Blake Lively was indeed photographed with more than a dozen shoe boxes surrounding her inside the Christian Louboutin store. The star face of ‘Gossip Girl’ was seen getting her feet into red boots and a couple of pumps before purchasing them. Well, she ended up spending a whopping amount of $9000 on the pricey designer shoes!
And if you are thinking as to what she will do with so many pairs, you’re thinking absolutely wrong. In a statement Blake Lively clears the confusion saying that she has so many sisters and friends, so she would also be giving away a couple of pairs as Christmas presents to them. Now I’m sure that all her friends will be dying to attend the 23-year-old star’s Christmas and checking out those gift-wrapped boxes under the Christmas tree!
Blake Lively is presently on a personal and professional high. She is very excited about her forthcoming release ‘Green Lantern’ opposite Ryan Reynolds. With producers of ‘The Town’ and ‘Gravity’ showing an interest to cast the young television star, the 40 pairs of shoes were a fitting way to celebrate the newly-found success.
