October 7,2010 : The rumour that Pallavi Gupta will be leaving Sahara One’s show ‘Bitto’ was rife for the last few days but now it is final that she is quitting the show. Viewers will get to see a new Bitto in Hritu Dudhani, who replaces Pallavi.
Hritu was earlier seen in Star Plus’ show ‘Chehra’ and Imagine TV’s ‘Bandini’. Pallavi decided to leave the show due to a demand of deduction in her fees by the channel. The budget of the show was reduced by the channel which resulted in a slash in the fees of the actress, too. But she was not ready to accept this cut.
Gupta informed about her decision to the production house, Contiloe Films and they immediately started looking for a replacement. They have finally signed on Hritu Dudhani in her place.
Hritu confirmed the news and was quoted saying that she will be playing the role of Bitto now. The actress said that she will enter into a new family but she does not know much about them as she is yet to read the script. She added that the character of Bitto will be more confident but will continue to be an uneducated and simple girl. Bitto will have to face bigger challenges as she enters the city life, added Hritu.
On the other hand, Pallavi Gupta was very emotional on her exit from the show. She said that she cried when they were shooting her last day scene at ‘haveli’. So now when she is leaving the show totally, she might end up crying again. She offered her best wishes to the new ‘Bitto’ but said that only she will remain as ‘Bitto’ in the heart of her fans.
Well, Hritu seems to have a good challenge to take up when she starts the journey of Bitto!
