July 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): An alumnus of the Maharaja Sayajirao University named Vishwanathpratap Singh has made it to the top 11 male finalist models in a model hunt called ‘India’s International Face’ organized by Zoom TV. The budding model is now expecting to make it to the Paris Fashion Week. Paris is considered to be the fashion capital of the world.
The regional round has seen the participation of 4,500 contestants, which took place in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, and Chandigarh. The grooming of these 11 finalists will be done by Jesse Randhawa, Mickey Mehta, Rukhsana Eisa, Lubhna Adam, Subi Samuel, Jamna Pai, and Hakim Alim.
For all the fashion aspirants, the fashion event is a great opportunity to get recognized at an international platform. The most prestigious fashion weeks in Milan and Paris will be participated by one male and one female talent from these eleven finalists.
Speaking about this fashion competition, Vishwanathpratap Singh said, “I came to know about this competition from net and filled in my form online. The Delhi auditions shortlisted 28 models from more than 2,000 aspirants”.
On his selection, Singh said, “The judges probably liked my dressing style, height, and the royal Rajasthani looks. It is like a big break for me as now I get an opportunity to work with the big names in the fashion and film industry”.
The former MSU arts student graduated in 2006 with geography as the major subject. Singh added, “Since childhood, I was inclined towards modeling. I won some titles at the local level and then tried luck in regional and national fashion events. With Miss India Earth 2008 Tanvi Vyas, I featured in a calendar, which was like a dream come true for me”.
Reaching to the top 11 at ‘India’s International Face’, the model wants to win the event now. Singh added, “For any model, Paris is always a dream destination. It will be a part of the Paris Fashion week if I win this title”.
