November 22, 2010 : The last episode of the “Oprah’s Favorite Things of 2010″ was aired this Friday and the recipients were the “heroes”. That’s what the talk show queen called them. The people in the audience were handpicked from across the country, the people who have changed the lives of others and believes in giving. So Oprah was all set to give them back, so as she entered there were cheers, people jumping from joy and the audience went pretty wild.
Here is just a glimpse of the things that Oprah had on her list of her favorites and the audience got them too. There was a live performance by the Black Eyed Peas, and the gifts unraveled. A Philip Stein limited collection watches for Oprah’s 25-year anniversary worth $2,475, which also had 58 handset diamonds in it. A cruise for 7 days on Royal Caribbeans’s Allure of the Seas ship, Flannel Tory Tote and Reva Ballerina Flat by Tory Burch, a Nikon digital SLR camera D3100 worth $700, a 52 inch Sony Bravia 3D and the list continued.
Ralph Lauren’s cashmere sweater, Judith Ripka eclipse earrings, Andre Walker’ the hairstylist of Oprah’s had the shampoo and the hair kit to be given away and it was not only limited to gadgets and travel and body care. But where Oprah is concerned food was there too, as Baker’s Edge brownie and lasangne, pans with Ghiradelli brownie mix. There was Beecher’s handmade mac and cheese known as the world’s best mac and cheese. But Oprah is pretty heath conscious so she even gifted “A course in weight loss” and four pairs of Nike “Free run+” shoes.
In total there were almost over 20 items that made to Oprah’s favorite things and made it to the audience’s home’s too.
