Irish actor Pierce Brosnan will be honoured next at a gala in the Polish city of Wroclaw on December 10 with an honorary award from the European Film Academy (EFA).
This was announced by the EFA from its headquarters in Berlin on Tuesday, Efe news reported.
Brosnan, who will attend as guest of honor at the ceremony of the 29th European Film Awards, will personally collect the award for “his impressive dedication to cinema”, said the EFA in a statement.
The Academy emphasised Brosnan’s “rich and extensive career in front of the camera and behind the scenes as a producer,” whether in action films, comedies or dramas.
The EFA highlighted films such as “The Lawnmower Man” (1992), “The Thomas Crown Affair” (1999) and “The Tailor of Panama” (2001), as well as his work as a producer in the recent “The Foreigner” with Jackie Chan in the lead role.
