Actress Adria Arjona says she loved working with Indian-American director Tarsem Singh in the American fantasy TV show “Emerald City” and called him a visual genius.
“I love that man. I love him so much. He’s a very honest, very fair man. And he’s a visual genius,” Arjona said in a statement.
The series is based on the “Land of Oz” book series, written by L. Frank Baum. Matthew Arnold has given a dark, edgy twist to the story of “The Wizard of Oz”, and Arjona plays the lead role of Dorothy.
Arjona also says Singh captures the emotions in his camera perfectly.
She said: “Sometimes you don’t understand where he’s going with something until you see it because it’s so out there. So you just have to trust him. And he never failed us once. He’s also a great listener. He guides you so beautifully in each scene. But mostly, it’s the images that he comes up with and how he brings the characters to life.”
The show is aired in India on Colors Infinity.
Arjona says Singh has “created crazy, magical, fantastic world that he throws my character to into”.
