Ileana adds hot quotient to AIFW

Actress Ileana DCruz made a “bold statement” at the Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Spring-Summer 2017 on Sunday in jewellery pieces designed by Abhishek Kankaria & Shrruti Tapuria.

While the collection was all about accessories, the actress walked the ramp in a red tube neck gown and zircon studded statement necklace wrapped around her neck like a tie, matching handcuff and earrings. Her hair was kept simple.

Sharing her excitement on being associated with the brand, Ileana said: “This is the first time I’ve worn Whatever accessories. They make a very bold statement and definitely have the potential to elevate any outfit.”

She also shared that walking down the ramp isn’t an easy job and praised the models who have been walking for different designers throughout the five-day fashion gala.

“I felt like precious cargo and I had to walk really carefully. ‘Not fall, not fall’ is what goes on in my mind when I walk. I hope I did them (Kankaria and Tapuria) proud,” Ileana said.

Asked how she would wear the statement neckpiece, the actress shared that it is more of a red carpet piece.

“I am not a blingy person, but I have my moments of course. I have never worn anything so intricate,” she said.

The collection saw a number of intricate, big, bold and blingy clutches which were heavily embellished.
