Kingdom of Dreams to launch ‘Beyond Bollywood’

Live entertainment destination Kingdom of Dreams (KoD) and music composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant will launch a musical titled “Beyond Bollywood” here on Tuesday.

The Nautanki Mahal at KoD will host the show which has mesmerised audiences across the world since its international launch in 2015, read a statement.

“Beyond Bollywood” has been touring internationally in countries like London to Brussels, Germany, France, Algeria and other countries of Europe.

The story of the musical is a tale of a dancer Shailey Shergill who armed with a desire to turn her mother’s dream into reality, sets out in search of her roots.

“Beyond Bollywood” will bring together a mix of Indian culture and Bollywood.

The musical, which has nine original music compositions of Salim-Sulaiman, has been written, directed and choreographed by Rajeev Goswami.

Lyrics of the musical have been penned by Irfan Siddiqui, who has also written lyrics for films like “Iqbal”, “Fashion” and “Heroine”.

“We have always wanted to stage shows which bring alive the beautiful heritage, culture and performing arts of India. ‘Beyond Bollywood’ is a show which has won rave reviews across various countries in the world and will now be showcased in India at Kingdom of Dreams,” said Viraf Sarkari, Director at Kingdom of Dreams.
