Actor Sanjay Kapoor, who turned 52 on Tuesday, celebrated his birthday by working on his upcoming TV show “Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara”.
After “Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny”, Sanjay will be returning after a decade on the small screen with the new Star Plus entertainer, which is slated to go on air from October 23.
“I’m really excited for my show and I’m giving it my all. Yes, promotions have kept me busy, but it’s a great feeling to be working on your birthday. I feel blessed,” Sanjay said in a statement.
“I will complete my shoot and later go for dinner with my family and spend quality time with them,” he added.
In “Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara”, Sanjay will be seen as Anant Mathur, a well-settled family man who falls in love with a young girl Ahana (played by Smiriti Kalra).
Jiten Lalwani surprises Sooraj Thapar on set
Actor Jiten Lalwani surprised his “Hum Saath Aath Hai” co-star Sooraj Thapar when he visited the set of the latter’s TV show “Hum Paanch Phir Se”.
“Jiten is like a brother from another mother to me who has been there with me through my lows and highs. Right from the show ‘Hum Saath Aath Hai’, which was on air 16 years back, where we played Ram and Laxman, we have actually bonded the same way in real life as well. I was overwhelmed and extremely happy to see him on the set of ‘Hum Paanch Phir Se’,” Sooraj said in a statement.
Sooraj plays Anand Mathur in “Hum Paanch Phir Se”, aired on BIG Magic.
Sachin-Jigar to judge ‘Om Shanti Om’
Music composers Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, best known as Sachin-Jigar, will next be seen on the judging panel of devotional music reality show “Om Shanti Om”.
Singer Kanika Kapoor, who judges the show alongside composer-singer Shekhar Ravjiani and actress Sonakshi Sinha, had to miss her shoot when she informed the makers overnight that she cannot make it because of personal emergency. Sachin-Jigar came in at the last moment and took Kanika’s place.
“The concept of ‘Om Shanti Om’ show is really amazing. They are presenting devotional music in a modern way. We find ourselves lucky to be part of the show. We are in place of Kanika in the show but we felt as if we are part of the show since the start and connected with everyone instantly,” Jigar said in a statement.
Sachin said devotional music was “connected to heart and mind” and the Star Bharat show was “encouraging the youth to listen to devotional music in a modern format”.
