Street rapper Divine, whose real name is Vivian Fernandes, will enthral fans at the Youth Ki Awaaz Converge 2016 here on Saturday.
The event is a platform that aims at creating interesting and socially relevant conversations, representing the voice of the common man and the youth of the country.
“I am super thrilled to be at this platform that encourages conversations of all kinds and inspires change. Delhi ki public, tayyar (Is the Delhi crowd ready),” Divine said in a statement.
Divine recently featured in the single “Pori paththi”, which was composed by singer Anirudh Ravichander, the maker of hit song “Why this kolaveri di”.
The rapper came into the limelight with his award winning 2013 release “Yeh mera Bombay”. In 2015, his project “Mere gully mein” was honoured as the Best Video of 2015 by Rolling Stone Magazine.
He was also awarded Best New Artist 2015 by iTunes and Apple Music in India and as one of the top six artists to watch-out for in 2016 by the BBC Asian Network.
