Actor Vinit Kakar, best known for his role of Mahaparshva in popular TV show “Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman”, has been roped in to star in upcoming film “Kannu” along with “Airlift” fame actress Taranjit Kaur.

“I am very excited about the project. I will play the role of Aniket in the horror thriller. I enjoy watching such movies and that’s why I have picked the role. It’s a wish come true as I have a soft corner for horror movies,” Vinit said in a statement.

“Kannu” will be produced by Neil D’silva and directed by Shyam Bhimsaria. Vinit and Bhimsaria earlier worked together in the show “One Coin Please”.

“Kannu” will release in September.
